  • The timer, task list, sounds and other tools on studystimer.com are free to use for personal, non-commercial purposes.
  • Your tasks and stats are saved only in your browser, so clearing site data deletes them.
  • The tools are provided as they are, and are not medical, mental health or professional advice.
  • Be considerate: don’t misuse, copy or attack the site.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By visiting or using studystimer.com (the “Site”), including its timers, task list, sound mixer, music panel and any related pages (together, the “Service”), you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled and forms part of these terms.

2. What the Service offers

The Service provides free online productivity tools, including a Pomodoro and countdown timer, stopwatch, to-do list, focus stats, generated background sounds, themes, and a panel that lets you play music from third-party services by pasting a link. We may add, change or remove features at any time without notice.

3. Using the Service

You may use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to:

  • use the Service for anything unlawful or in a way that harms others;
  • attempt to hack, overload, scrape at scale, reverse engineer or interfere with the Site or its security;
  • use automated tools to generate ad impressions or clicks, or encourage anyone to click ads;
  • copy, resell or redistribute the Site’s code, design or content without our written permission;
  • paste links to content that is illegal, infringing or harmful.

4. No accounts and your saved data

You do not need an account. Your tasks, settings, stats and preferences are stored in your browser’s local storage on your own device. We do not have a copy and cannot recover them. Clearing your browser data, using private browsing, or switching device or browser will remove or hide them. You are responsible for keeping any information you need elsewhere.

5. Third-party content and links

The Service lets you play content from services such as YouTube, Spotify and SoundCloud, and links to other websites. That content belongs to its owners and is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We do not host, control or endorse it, and we are not responsible for its availability, accuracy or legality. You are responsible for making sure you have the right to play any link you paste.

6. Advertising

The Site is supported by advertising, including Google AdSense. Ads are provided by third parties, and we are not responsible for their content or for products and services advertised. Any dealings you have with advertisers are between you and them.

7. Intellectual property

The Site’s design, text, logo, code and other original material are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may link to our pages and share them. You may not claim them as your own or use our name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you.

8. Health and safety notice

The Service is for general productivity and relaxation. It is not medical, psychological or professional advice and is not a treatment for any condition. If you have concerns about attention, anxiety, sleep or any health matter, please speak to a qualified professional. Please also take care when using sounds: keep the volume at a comfortable level, especially with headphones, and take regular breaks from the screen. Some visitors may be sensitive to moving backgrounds, videos or flashing effects, so use the plain themes if you prefer.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, that timers or alerts will always be accurate or audible, or that saved data will never be lost. Do not rely on the Service for anything where a missed alert or lost data could cause harm, such as medication, safety-critical tasks or strict deadlines.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits, time or opportunity, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service or any third-party content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

We may suspend or restrict access to the Site, or stop providing any part of the Service, at any time and for any reason, including if we believe these terms have been broken.

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top. By continuing to use the Service after changes are posted, you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the country in which the Site’s owner is based, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If a court finds any part of these terms unenforceable, the remaining parts stay in effect.
